The South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership would like to purchase comprehensive business data to help measure progress against targets set within our Business Plan, Strategic Economic Plan and to inform future business engagement activity.
South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership works in partnership with local authorities, further and higher education, businesses and the voluntary and community sector to deliver its vision of achieving sustainable economic growth across the area. To achieve this we need to be able to monitor on a regular basis a number of key performance indicators relating to business growth and have access to a business directory that supports our work with businesses.
1. Business Start-up and Business Growth Data
We would like to purchase data that allows us to access and report at least quarterly on business start-up data, business growth related indicators including turnover and sector growth and provides a breakdown of data by local authority area, postcode area (if possible) standard industrial classification and employment size.
We will be producing a quarterly economic bulletin reporting on key trends of the South East Midlands economy and would like to include such data in our updates. This will also help to support the project monitoring and reporting requirements for our Velocity Growth Hub programme which provides business support and access to grants for SMEs in the South East Midlands.
2. Business Directory
We would like to have access to a comprehensive business directory that covers the South East Midlands area: Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Cherwell, South Northamptonshire, Northampton, Daventry, Kettering and Corby.
We would like to be able to analyse such data by Standard Industrial Classification codes, post code, local authority area and employment size. Where possible we would like to access this data on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
If you would like to submit a quote for this work, please include in your submission details about the company, examples of similar work, total cost and number of days.
Budget is £5,500 (inclusive of VAT).
The anticipated timetable is as follows. If bidders consider this can be reduced, they should indicate in their bids how this could be achieved.
