The national campaign Business Is GREAT Britain from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is coming to Rockingham Motor Speedway in Northamptonshire on Friday, 5 September along with British Touring Car team Quantel Bifold Racing, to host an exclusive event for firms keen to grow their businesses.
Businesses across the South East Midlands are invited to this unique networking event being held in conjunction with a number of strategic partners, which coincides with the British Touring Car Championship at Rockingham the same weekend.
The event, taking place between 1pm and 4.30pm, is an opportunity to network with peers and hear from a variety of speakers on overcoming challenges and growing a business – including access to finance, skills & training, marketing, and innovation & intellectual property.
Businesses will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the government and local area. The event takes place at the purpose-built Quantel Bifold Racing hospitality unit right at the heart of the action as the racing teams prepare for the Championship weekend.
There will be an opportunity to walk the pit lane to the team garage, get under the bonnet at the team car, meet mechanics and engineers and talk to Marc Hynes, the driver, about the challenges of competing in the BTCC Championships in what is one of the most competitive seasons to date.
