A new energy management company based in Milton Keynes has called Velocity Adviser Emmanuelle Clément their ‘genie’, crediting her with connecting them to influential organisations that have had a significant and immediate impact on their business.
Cyllene Solutions, which has been operational for just four months, has received one-to-one advice and support from Emmanuelle as part of Velocity’s free growth programme for businesses in the South East Midlands.
Cyllene Energy Solutions provides energy monitoring, management and control solutions for both commercial and domestic sectors, allowing end users to monitor and control their energy usage leading to more efficient use and cost savings.
Cyllene’s Energy solution is based on remote monitoring and cloud based technology which helps clients access and control their energy data from anywhere without physical connection.
As an organisation in its early stages, Cyllene was in need of the type of help required by many start-ups including business development and marketing. Trupta Sali, who runs Cyllene with her husband Sandip, contacted Velocity to find out the type of support on offer.
Trupta booked an appointment with Emmanuelle, Velocity’s Adviser dedicated solely to Milton Keynes businesses.
Emmanuelle quickly got to grips with Cyllene’s business model and set about introducing Trupta to key organisations that would enhance the company’s service proposition.
Emmanuelle provided specific contact details to Trupta, making personal introductions, leading to Trupta referring to Emmanuelle as her ‘genie’.
“When l first met with Emmanuelle l didn’t really know what to expect”, said Trupta. “But Emmanuelle understood straight away what we are trying to achieve and came back to me very quickly with some valuable contacts that helped us achieve preferred supplier status, resulting in us being awarded contracts that we otherwise would not have won.
“Not only that, but Emmanuelle did some research and identified government support available to businesses seeking to utilise low carbon energy. We were then able to make potential clients’ aware of this support, increasing the attractiveness of our products and services.
“Without Emmanuelle’s advice and guidance we would have found it very difficult to ‘get in to’ the organisations we now have relationships with, and these relationships have made a significant positive difference to our business, hence why l call Emmanuelle our ‘genie’.”
