Local authority areas in the South East Midlands are some of the best in the country when it comes to digital availability, according to data contained in a new online map.
The Go ON UK Digital Exclusion Heatmap shows the likely level of digital exclusion at Local Authority level right across the UK. It uses eight different indicators which have been combined to create the first ever single nationwide measure of predicted digital exclusion.
The Heatmap allows policy-makers and local organisations to identify which individual factors are most likely to contribute to digital exclusion in their areas, so helping them to focus engagement, action and funding where it is needed most.
The map shows that all 11 local authorities in the South East Midlands have either low or medium ratings for digital exclusion.
