Invitation to Quote for desk top publishing services for our Arts, Heritage, Sports, Visitor Economy, Cultural and Creative Industries Strategy

The South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership would like to commission a supplier to provide desk top publishing services for the design and production (including printing) of our Arts, Heritage, Sports, Visitor Economy, Cultural and Creative Industries Strategy. The objective of the Strategy is to provide a brief overview of the direct contribution of these sectors to the economy of the SEMLEP area in terms of jobs and Gross Value Added. The Strategy supports the delivery of our Strategic Economic Plan that sets out how we will deliver jobs, housing and business growth across the South East Midlands. Link: www.semlep.com.

This strategy is intended for use by our local authority and business partners and all those engaged in this sector including national organisations such as Arts Council England, Visit England and Sport England.

Background

South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership works in partnership with local authorities, further and higher education, businesses and the voluntary and community sector to deliver its vision of achieving sustainable economic growth across the area. We cover 11 local authority areas: Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Cherwell, South Northamptonshire, Northampton, Daventry, Kettering and Corby.

Our requirements

We require a supplier with the relevant skills and experience to provide desk top publishing services to design and produce our Arts, Heritage, Sports, Visitor Economy, Cultural and Creative Industries Strategy. The strategy will reflect the style of the main Strategic Economic Plan Report and will be no more than 12 pages with the following sections:

  1. Foreword from the Chair, explaining the rationale for producing a strategy;
  2. Logos and signatures from supporting organisations;
  3. Executive Summary;
  4. Map of key assets (already commissioned)
  5. Overview of the contribution of each of the sectors to the SEMLEP economy;
  6. Examples of the key cultural assets in the area and the key organisations and events with case studies to demonstrate their wider economic benefits;
  7. Outline the importance of this sector to the wider SEMLEP economy;
  8. Key actions to support the sector including skills (building on the Skills Strategy), training and apprenticeships;
  9. Implementation of Plan and Next Steps.

The Strategy will include images of some of our key assets that represent the Arts, Heritage, Sports, Visitor Economy, Cultural and Creative Industries across the South East Midlands.

Whilst the style of the Strategy will be in line with the main Strategic Economic Plan Report, it should reflect the character of these industries through the use of colour and design.
