John Dale, Operations Director Careers-Action and his team of volunteers, support people who are currently unemployed and want to get back into employment. With a growing demand, they decided it was the right time to expand the charity and were looking for financial support.
John contacted Velocity Growth Hub and met with Business Adviser Emmanuelle Clements, who supported John with one-on-one specialist advice. Emmanuelle provided information about relevant grant and funding opportunities available for charities like John’s. By going through the grant process, they discovered that the charity didn’t have all the necessary polices specified in the grant application process.
With support from Emmanuelle, John and his team have an action plan to review and update their policies, helping to improve the sustainability of their charity and put in place a better structure to their finance systems. John said, “We aspire to grow and with the help of The Velocity Growth Hub, that’s closer than ever.”
Through Emmanuelle, John is in contact with other support providers who can give Careers Action additional practical help to continue their business development journey.
