Investment will support the redevelopment of Barnfield College’s New Bedford Road campus.
In addition to providing a new modern 6,000 sqm FE facility (which will accommodate skills delivery for mainstream employment sectors and specialist skills in digital and engineering), it will allow for the expansion of learning provision in space better suited to modern courses.
It will also rationalise the existing estate and provide land for 104 new family homes.

Projected Outputs: A new general further education college of c6000sqm, range of qualifications for 16-18 year olds and adults, specialist information, advice and guidance provision focussing on entry to employment and additional job opportunities within the college.
Friday 21st October saw a celebratory event at the Barnfield College new campus, following its opening to students in September.
